I want to download some Sims 2 Custom Content that I can only find on Tumblr, but I can't. It says that the site is an invalid response after I click the link I want to download the content from.

I've been told it has to do with my browser settings. If anything has had this problem before, please let me know what browser settings that I have to change so that I can download CC from Tumblr as soon as possible.

Before we can tell you that we have to know what browser you're using.

"Tumblr" does not host downloads. Links to custom content on tumblr will lead you to a hosting site, such as MTS, SFS, box, etc. If your browser and tumblr can't agree, you can probably do a workaround.

When you move the cursor to the link, check the obscure corners of your screen. When I do that, I can see the URL linked down in the lower left hand corner of my screen. If I type in this URL I can follow it normally, and I can also experiment with it. Sometimes a URL is not linked correctly because of an error when it was made, such as including a bracket or not getting the whole thing copied. You can work backward through the URL deleting elements until the thing works, and then proceed to search that site for what you want. If, for example, the link is to SFS, you can get all the way back to the account for the creator, find a list of their files for upload, and locate what you want that way.
If the link is to a site that uses ads or something, you may have a security program trying to protect you, but in that case you should be getting a security notice.

Another issue is that if it's a Sims File Share link, sometimes SFS just goes down. If you wait a few hours or until the next day, you will normally be successful if you try again.

I was having trouble with Tumblr links, too, a while back and I noticed that it wasn't properly redirecting download links. The "https://href.li/?" would get messed up--is this what's happening to you? When you get an error, try and look at the beginning of the download link. If you see "https://href.li/?https://" or "https://href.li/?http://" before the website, delete "https://href.li/?" from the beginning of the link and you should be able to continue.

It got so bad that I added redirects for them. I was already using the Digital Angels' presets for the Redirector to fix box links automatically, so I was able fiddle around and come up with some rules to fix these broken links.

Drop the link to the Tumblr you are on, we can't really help until we know what it is you are downloading and which file-hosting site it's on. Tumblr itself is just a blog.
If it's file share keep trying it, sometimes that will make it work or try next day.
If it's box change out the www for app.
