Sims 2, University, Nightlife
Default Chance Card Bug?
I've been playing Sims off and on for several months now, in small doses, so this issue has only recently come to my attention: every time my Sim gets a Chance Card, s/he "jumps". By that, I mean that after I've clicked on one of the three options (Option A, Option B, or Ignore), the respective Sim reappears on the lot.
Now, I've noticed two things:
When I have the boolprop cheat enabled, an Error message pops up (the 'reset' option just makes it pop up over again) after I've clicked an option on the Chance card, and then the "jump" happens.
When the boolprop cheat is disabled/isn't in use, the respective Sim just "jumps" to the lot I'm playing.

Here's what I've tried (and didn't work):
- Patched it with the appropriate patches
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the game plus EPs
- Removed, then replaced, all hacks/mods/replacements/etc
- Used boolprop to create the Chance Card tester and turned the Force Chance Cards off (they still show up, oddly enough)

I have base game (obviously), Uni, NL, and Pets.

So, insights as to why I'm having this problem? Any, and all, help is greatly appreciated!

In order to better solve your problem, please go through the following as listed below:
  • General - Do the Game Problem FAQ
You appear to have not gone through our main Game Help:Game Problemwiki FAQ. Please go through and do the steps on this FAQ, including any others that it links to (for example the Game Help:Game Problem-Problem Custom Contentwiki FAQ).

Usually, in the vast majority of cases, actually going through and doing the steps (doing, not just reading) fixes issues - sometimes you may be asked to remove custom content, or to patch - please rest assured that all of our FAQs have been tested by our staff and volunteers and we wouldn't suggest you do something unless it's been known to fix particular issues.
Also, post one of your error logs. Please post it as an attachment, not in-line.

On occasion you might be asked to do a long FAQ - please make sure you do all the steps and don't just skip over them. You'll often find that these long FAQs have all the details you need. If nothing in the above FAQs fixes your problem you may post again detailing exactly which you have done and which steps failed.

An error I have noticed in my game is consequences being awarded which don't match the stated outcome. For example, if a sim is said to only lose a day's pay, instead they get demoted. Odd.
