Is there a way to sell your puppies or anything? sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but it's not really a tech question.

I was just wondering if you had to call the Pet Adoption service to come get them, or if you could breed to sell? Thanks

You can sell puppies and kitties to your neighbours, as far as I know.

You click on a neighbor, hit "Sales" and then "Sell PETNAMEHERE"

So, I've read through the threads here and as far as I have been able to figure out, if you have a pet that you want to sell, you are supposed to be able to click on a visiting Sim and get options to either sell them or give them the pet.

I haven't had too many pets yet, but recently my boyfriend's Sims had a puppy. He'd like to sell it but when he greets Sims and clicks on them, no options to sell the pet show up. We've tried this with more than one household and the option just doesn't come up.

What we'd like to know is, what are we doing wrong? Are there specific conditions that have to be met? Does the pet have to be of a certain age? Do you have to have the pets container to sell them? I know that in the future I'd like to have a Sim act as a breeder, selling the puppies or kittens they breed, so I'd like to get this figured out.

As far as I know, you should jsut be able to click "Sales" and "Sell pet..." kismetrose... Are you checking under the sales tab in the actions to another sim?

I've clicked on various people from the neighborhood and the sales...sell pet option has not come up. The family in question has two adult pets and one puppy, born not that long ago. I just can't figure out what isn't right about it.

do you have to have OFB for them to sell the pets?

I don't have OFB Fexygurl, and I get the option mentioned to sell my pets.

I can't do this anymore either, and I'm wondering why not. It's very annoying, I don't want to have to create strays so my other families can have puppies and kittens -_-

Btw, I discovered that I had a hack that was blocking the "sell pet" option from coming up. It seemed an innocent hack - the breastfeeding one, to be exact - but once I removed it, I could sell pets normally (and I could play catch, which was also being blocked). If the option won't come up, go through your hacks carefully. Something that you might think is harmless might not be.

Yes you can give / sell any pet (cat or dog) kitten or puppy or adult. I have a family with a Sim who want to grow up 20 puppies or kitties. It's a long road. And I have to give and sell some of them. The two are possible.

I think you have to have somewhat of a high relationship with them. You probably just have to be friends with them.

I don't think you need a high relationship. I've experimented with a "Dog breeder home buisiness" in OFB and I was able to sell dogs/puppies regardless of relationship if I recall correctly.

Selling dogs to townies seems to make the dogs strays though, so I gave up on the idea.

You can also put them up for adoption

When your neighbors come over, Or one of your friends.
Click on them
Click Propose
and then a sell option should be available! =)

I think relationship does have to be high, because I have been spending a while trying to give away a puppy to Brandi Broke. The family of 2 owns the puppy and 4 other dogs, in a tiny trailer on a 1x2 lot. Not comfy. Anyway, Brandi always refuses so I spent a while trying to make the Brandi and my sim friends, but she still refuses. Their relationship is 61 daily and 4 lifetime.

Hmm. I've never had problems Selling a pet to a Sim, NPC or playable. One Sim will Greet the visitor, and the other will Sell it. No relationship is necessary, although I *think* one Sim didn't want the pet. Can you sell pets to other Sims besides Brandi?

I think "strays" is too strong a word -- the pets just become Townies. You can greet them, and even adopt them if their relationship is high enough. I *think* their relationship score drops when you sell them, however.

How exactly do you *sell* a pet to a townie? I can only give them free, unless that's how it's done?

You didn't scroll to the past far enough, the answer is actually 17 years old I assume you can't sell to full households (max capacity), if your relationship is not high enough, and maybe to townies?

You can sell to townies, but the pet then becomes a townie/stray.

Sims may refuse if they don't have the cash
