I have sims who aren't in college but are still nerds who want to read comic books. I tried saving a copy of the comic book store in the University town and placing it in my sims' town which worked fine, but when they went to buy comics at the cash register the Buy Items window was empty. I can't find comic books anywhere.

Does anyone know how to get comics in a non-University town?

You could possibly add them to your sim's inventory with MasterController?

The bookshelf that is used in the comic books store should also stock with comics if you place it on a community lot.

The book shop rabbithole sells them. There's a comic tab like the skills or cookbook tab.

Yep! Don't need a nerd shop, that lot is too big for most of my worlds anyway.

Just a Roentgen Register (community objects) with two A framed bookcases in a strip mall type lot sold only comic books from that register for me in SSV.

Really? What town is that? The bookshop in Moonlight Falls doesn't have a comics tab. I checked all of the books in the general tab too. No comics.

Okay, at this point I figured it had to be either a bug or some CC/mod I downloaded. Turned out to be the latter. It was vahi_master's Super Speedy Skill Books mod. Apparently it hasn't been updated for UL yet and it was conflicting with the comics and academic books. I removed it and BOOM! Comics!

Thanks, guys! You helped me narrow it down to an actual problem instead of me just being a dummy.

EDIT: Also, this thread can probably be moved to a help section or something, just in case someone else is having this same problem.

Thank you, been trying to figure out what was causing the comics not to show up and as genevievedee said, it was the speedy skill books
