Hi simmers!

So the other day I was playing a new game in sunlit tides after just installing it and after 30 minutes of playing my game crash to desktop. I check why that had happened with the Crash Log Analyzer and it showed that I had Insufficient Graphics Capability.

How can I resolve this? I have had crashed before but they suddenly stopped on September of last year and The game had been playing well, not a single crash till now. Plus the crash only happens in Sunlit Tides not in other worlds

Also: "At least some if not all of Nvidia's cards with G86 and G84 cores are defective. They they do not handle heat like they should. This includes all GeForce 8400/8500/8600/8700 cards."

The only way to fix it is to get a new, better one. If you keep forcing the game on this one, then it will most likely fail completely sooner or later. The crashing is already a symptom.

Bear in mind that, given the age of the graphics card you are using, a new one may have higher power requirements. Double-check that your computer's power supply (PSU) provides enough voltage or ampage for whichever new graphiucs card you pick before you buy it - if you don't know how to do that, we can help once you've decided on a card.

Thanks for your help. I really have no idea of what graphic card will be good for my computer as I want it to run all of the Sims 3 expansion packs without problem, with some costum content as well and I really can't spend much money on upgrating it right now. How can I check what voltage or ampage my computer power supply can handle?

Open your computer case, and look at the Power Supply. There should be a label on it.
