Default Anyone Own Happy Holiday Stuff Pack?
this I heard was a rare expansion stuff pack and base game for the sims 2 that adds another NPC untouchable named Santa Claus. I happen to have this expansion I can tell from my experience it adds a new kind of sim party called a New Years Bash, a new food desert called Santa's Cookies, and holiday decorations like a Christmas tree and a little Halloween deco. some new outfits for all ages. and.

The Christmas tree will also burn your home down and Santa only gives my sims a lump of coal, because AI have not yet figured out how to get presents from him yet. Santa will only come within having a decor Christmas tree for I think 3 days? it is well worth owning but nobody talks about it in years so I think now is the time we can talk about it? after all it is October and the holidays will be coming up.

He came out the other day, I made sure to leave out the Santa Cookies. However I was like "HA!" because all the guests were using the bathrooms at the time and if anyone has never seen Santa use the toilet and then laugh jollily then repeat that loop the rest of the night, you have been missing out. Eventually, he found a free toilet and started his routine though.

Uh oh! My social bar is low - that's why I posted today.

I have it. It includes not only Santa but also toddler new year/father time. Do not make any of them selectable. They are specific role NPC's. Interact with them as the game allows.

You need a plate of Santa cookies and a christmas tree out from 7pm on to call Santa. He should leave a gift, laugh and pee a lot and then leave. Do not light the tree unless you place a sprinkler above it, very flamable. All who hug him will be best friends.

You need to throw a new years party to summon Father Time who arrives about 10pm who turns into Toddler new year, dances and leaves. The sims will bang pots and pans, it's quite fun.

The pack comes with working fire work type items, quite fun.

A lot of people have it now, because EA gave it away, along with the rest of the stuff packs, in the Ultimate Collection. I like the objects, but never do the things to summon the NPCs.

I own it. I acually have both the 05 and the expanded 06 packs. Bought the 05 pack first, and got really annoyed when they released the other one just a year later.

I have it only because I have the UC and it's included in it but I had heard bad things about the baby new year (and the tree fire, though now I have a no fire mod so it may be fine..don't know if that mod would work on the tree or not) but as long as I don't do anything the game doesn't allow by default they are ok?

I've never seen baby new year, santa, father time...none of them.

Edit: And I know they exist I've seen them in SimPE, just waiting for me to throw a new year's bash

I summoned Santa Claus a lot with Santa cookies. He came then hijacked my Sims' bathroom, then laughing HOHOHO & holding his stomach after finishing his business. Everytime I lit the Christmas Tree lamps I often forgot to turn off the lamps.. then everyone dancing crazy around Christmas Tree. AAAH FIIREEE....!!!!!! TS2... makes everything so unforgettable.

I've been forever wary of Santa Claus after he went into the bathroom while the Ramaswami's kid was taking her nightly bath...

I have the Holiday Party Pack (which cost $5 and was shipped on a disk) and I have the digital update for it that came out a year later. The two combined equal the same content in the Happy Holiday Stuff Pack.
One thing that vexes me is the snowman radio. The music is really nice in the Holiday Party Pack (Deck the Halls with the saxophone! :lovestruc ), but the music is overwritten with newer techno-sounding tracks when the update is installed. Why, EA, why???

I have the original Holiday Party Pack on disc. No updates on the snowman radio for me. I just LOVE the barking dog Jingle Bells classic

This was the one SP that made my life miserable for months. Lucky me got the faceless Santa one day. (http://modthesims.info/t/535448. He's under the spoiler.) No rhyme, no reason. Things were perfectly normal after I installed the SP, and I used its features for quite a while before this happened. I just got faceless Santa/Baby New Year out of the blue. It is a honkin' pain in the rear to get those faces and any missing CC back. I had to use a combo of following maxon's suggestions, reinstalling HH a few times and futzing with compatibility to get Happy Holidays working properly again, and I still get nervous whenever I try to find something from that pack in that game. And even making the base game read-only (and by doing that, making the HH SP files read-only as well, since the files are buried in the base game) will not stop that madness if it happens. Fortunately for Sims players, the mess very happens rarely. I've seen only five or six instances at most, other than mine. But it can happen.

I have no idea how this happened in the first place, either. Good question. I've had people who later experienced this ask me what to do, and my answer would be to keep futzing around with certain steps and hope things work out. Not the clearest or best advice, I know. I would suggest to first check compatibility and reinstall HH. From what I've read, that works at least 70% of the time. (Lucky me was one of the 30%.) If it doesn't work, I would suggest you search this forum and follow maxon's suggestions.

But even after all this, I don't play Santa. He kept giving my Sims kids that !@#$ing remote-controlled car. And the routine with him in the toilet (at least in my game, unless I have a really weird mod) wore a little thin after the first few times.

I'm sounding like a real Scrooge here!

Here's what I imagine...He's so busy going house to house, drinking milk and eating cookies all around the 'world' that when he finally gets to your sim's house he just REALLY has to go to the bathroom

I have it. I love playing Christmas when there's snow outside. I also have the mod for no school during summer and the one day off during winter. (I"m sorry who can't remember who designed it, sorry!) The day off during winter is when I pretend it's Christmas.

He doesn't always do it - I'm not sure why. But all my Santas so far (touch wood) haven't visited the bathroom at all. Maybe I have a fix?

When I first got it, I used the simslice engagement ring to make Santa marry one of my sims (didn't know about VBT's at the time). But, he didn't hang around much. His icon would disappear during the day, I think, and then he would return at night. But he didn't interact with anyone, just paced back and forth. I've never made that mistake again.

I got this calendar (there are many to choose from) so it helps tell me what holidays are coming. Yes, the holidays are from Sims 3 but I like it and it helps me celebrate holidays for my Simmies since I rarely ever do that.

Really? I didn't notice this. Maybe because I have the discs? Anyway, what gets me about the snowman radio--which I like, too, and the music it plays is quite good--is that when you turn it on and then speed up time, the music speeds up too--even though no other radio in TS2 does that. I mean, hello, I'm the one listening to the music! You think I turn on the radio so sims can have a good time? Please, their happiness is inconsequential.

I have it. And I've never played with it.

Even on Christmas.

Yep, cause in my Sims world, there's no such thing as Christmas.

Also, whatever else you do, do not use the SimBlender to turn Santa naked. Regrets.

Oh my

I have the UC, so I have at least some of the Holiday stuff. Some of it appears to have not been included, such as the snowman radio and I think some clothes? While it's all cute stuff, I tend to forget to use any of it. I'm just not fussed enough to try and rearrange the furniture to fit in the tree and presents, or put up the lights and card holders. One time, I did have the proper items out and ready, but Santa never came =( . I do like the tree. I don't like that it has the tendency to spontaneously combust!
