What do you need scripting for, injecting to sims? Or something else? If you're intimidated by scripting/don't want to do it, check out XML Injector instead as it does the scripting work for you, all you need to do is add a snippet to your .package with the appropriate information. You will be using PyCharm to create your script mods.

Unfortunately, there is almost no documentation for script functions anywhere aside from how to perform injection, so you'll pretty much be on your own.
