I finally figured out that my previous post about SimPE not displaying properly was in the wrong forum. My apologies to the moderators.

The problem was that I was getting black text on a black background when trying to clone an object. My theme (Extras/Preferences/SimPE Settings) was set to Office 2003. "Well, that can't be the problem. Office 2003 wouldn't set anything to black on black. And it's only in this one thing I've looked at."

Yeah. So Everett is perfectly readable.

Yep, had same problem, found same answer. It's not at all obvious and you have to go looking for it. It's under Extra/Preferences/SimPE Settings/Theme, and you get choice of four themes. (Versions up to 75f defaulted to Glossy, I think - 75.69 defaults to Office 2003.)
