This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Default Active Sim cannot interact with other Sims
I am currently playing a 5 Sim family. One of my active household, is not able to interact with any other Sim, including those in the household. This happened after shutting down the game, and restarting. If I hover the mouse pointer over another Sim, it shows her name, but when I click the Sim, nothing happens. No menu of interactions. My Sim can interact with objects. This Sim used to be able to interact with other Sims. This happened after shutting down the game, and restarting. I have tried loading an earlier save, but the problem is now in the older saves, as well. I have not installed any new CC or mods.

The family traveled to OL, but has been there for several game saves, before this problem. Does anyone know of this???

Oh WOW, that is not good. I have never had that. I am sure you have tried a reset Sim to no avail. Hope someone can help. I totally lost a Sim once in travel but have not had that happen.

From a scan through some NRaas posts about the same issue, it looks like there's an item from ITF that can cause this to happen. Specifically, a bar glass that gets stuck in a sims inventory even if you can't see it.
https://www.nraas.net/community/mod...ssion/topic5218 theres a reply from Chain that has a way to purge it.
As noted later, canning station jam jars in the inventory can also cause some issues but it seems like the glass is the more likely culprit with the mention of OL.

Thank you for trying. That did sound as it would be a good possibility, being that my Sims are in OL. I followed the post instructions, but did not see the bar glass... so as a test, I deleted ALL of the inventory, figuring, if it worked, I could go back to pinpoint the culprit. Reset the Sim, saved and restarted, and the problem remains. I have also tried the old "reset everything", with no luck.

I did manage to find a save that is working, and only lose a few days.

Just a question and I have had to do this before when I have a sim that goes a little out of my control.

City Hall > MC > I think it's town > Local Stats > Look for the Jigs and delete those and then look for that glass and null objects > delete

Second export the sim to the library and place them into a house of their own see if you can play them and then do the same thing to merge them back if they are playable.

Those are just two things I try before giving up on a wonky sim.

YAY that you found a recent save that is working and can go from there.

Thanks. I did not see the MC path you describe, but may have messed up. I will check again. The 2nd option, I tried something similar that did not work, but again, I do not think it was exactly as you describe, so will try that also. Worst case, those saves are toast, and I just have to catch up from the last good save. Fortunately, I have bbecome quite accustomed to my game blowing up, and do not pout... quite as much as some.

I'm the same I like to blow up my saves with creating a world thinking I've made lots the best and then realize I have issues after playing..

I found the correct path City Hall, Nraas, MC, Town, Object Stats > Local

If you do it from the house by clicking on the lot you can follow MC > Lot > Objects Stats > Inventory and this will give you the inventory which might show the glass.

Did not see the bar glass in inventory. So, separated the Sim from the household and made her active. Still could not interact, so writing off those days. I may just use cheats to potty train the twins, and teach walking and talking, and get THAT over with. OY! Only if I had that option in real life!!!

I get that LOL with all the toddler mods I use the one that they use toilets once potty trained so with skilling them (magically) I no longer need potty chairs it's a blessing LOL
Got the mods so they feed themselves, toddler napping mats and some newer mods that have mattresses, then they go in play pens and walkers all those skills they just learn

I generally take a different approach to Sim kids. Alice! My old FemmeBot military model. Robo nanny chip, cleaner and handibot chips, and she is good to go. Only thing I do not think she does autonomously is potty training. She will autonomously read, give bottles, change diapers, play at the xylophone and blocks, and put babies/ toddlers to bed. Twins are a pain though.

And by the power of MC transfer genetics, the little ones cannot tell the difference between mommy and Alice... except for the red eye and the patch over the messed up one. Some day, I will get all of the face bones to work as Plumbot, and the hair transparency.

That's awesome! I have done that with teens that Homeschool and they make good daycare/toddler trainers.

I had a similar problem once. The sims in my family couldn't interact with each other after a travel to China. I found out through experiments that it was because of the jam jars in their inventory (Grandma's Canning Station from Store) It's a very weird bug and there's a mod that fix it

Hmmm... I think I had the canning station in a dowloaded world, but removed it for some reason. It's possible there is some piece floating around that got missed? Although, I have not seen jam jars in any Sims' inventory, but will look again.
