Default The sims 2 update is not working
I have followed all steps but it is still not working.
Whenever I try to install a pack it says that I need to update the game in the end of the installation but whenever I try to the update the game the update service crashes and the pack downloader cancels.

I recommend using an all in one download, it's so much easier and quicker, no patches needed. You can find it on github or there are other places as well, but I used this to put it on my daughters PC, was a piece of cake.
