Default Game crashes after game loads.
My game is constantly crashing, minutes after it loads. Usually immediatly after an unusual graphical glitch, such as a once normal bicycle loading up as having completely black textures and square wheels in buy mode, or the eyes of sims being see-through the back of their heads, or the makeup on a sim's face turning completely green, etc. Sometimes there aren't even visible glitches before the crash. I do indeed use mods and CC, but most of it is in .sims3pack format. I've been trying to work around this for a while, and I cannot anymore. If you can help, please do!

If you have a lot of sims3packs, I heard that can cause crashes. Something about the game not being able to handle more than 100? You can convert sims3packs to package using Delphy's Sims3pack Multi Installer tool. MAKE A BACK UP of all packs in your Downloads folder! Open the launcher, and remove sims3packs from there. Then move the Downloads folder to documents (outside of the game folder). Install the packages to the Packages folder and start your game.

All of the downloads that you added thru the launcher should be located in the Downloads folder. They are basically a back up.

Set up a work folder on desktop, or wherever you want. Use Multi Pack Installer tool to convert the sims3packs into packages. It asks for a folder where the sims3packs are... just scroll until you find Downloads folder.

Next, choose where you want the packages to be placed. If you have a Mods folder set up, with a Packages folder, you can extract directly to it. Click extract. The tool will convert EVERY sims3pack in Downloads folder in one click. You don't have to do each separately.

You can compress Downloads folder, and place the zip somewhere in Documents, outside of the EA folder as back up. Delete evverything in the folder, but be sure your back up is good!

Open the launcher and uninstall everything from there. The game should run with the packages, but you may have to reapply garments to Sims... I'm not sure.

I personally, do not convert worlds.

Thank you. I was just wondering if I had to reapply CC in game.
