Alright, so I have this large custom world with a lot of sims in it and playing it was quite a challenge, save-wise. Not only for me, but A LOT of simmers had this issues and I had to use mods, hacks and cache-cleaners in order to advance.

So far so good, I got back into The Sims 3 again recently, post update, and the game not only runs much smoother but I can play for hours without a single Error 16 popping up.

I was kind of praying for a Sims 3 64-bit version so I can play normally into this specific world and others like it with n problems, but this is good enough I suppose.

The patch contained exactly one change- any other improvements or issues perceived post-patch are coincidental. Bordering on placebo, even

And unless you meant Error 12, Error 16 is also a user-end issue.

Yeah, I don't know. I am indeed playing the latest version of that world which is an upgrade, I suppose.

I remember having all sorts of problems with it before, but not so much right now. Except for an error 12 after the game became glitch-y, but that was it.
