Default Accessories/Clothes for pets
Is there a way to use the mesh part of collar accessories for pets in The Sims 3? I’d like to create custom clothing meshes for pets, but TSRW doesn’t seem to offer an option to clone collars. I know how to make conversions from sims4 to 3 and wanted to convert a cat outfit from ts4. If it's possible, where should I start to import my custom mesh?

You can use S3OC to clone pet parts.
If TSRW doesn't support the resulting package, it's possible to make CASP items with a S3PE/Blender centered workflow instead.

The main limitation is that unlike human sim clothes, even parts of the body hidden completely by the outfit will still be there. Which is unoptimised from a performance point of a view, and may suffer from clipping on fluffier pets and certain animations.
I'm not sure if anyone has cracked how the collars squish the fur under them, but that's one potential avenue for shrinking the body out of view. It was quite a while ago someone here was working on pet accessories and I cannot recall if they had any success.

I've made some progress, but the mesh currently has no LODs. Additionally, like it has been said, the fur is clipping trough the mesh.

If anyone is willing to help with the fur clipping problem, I'd be happy to share the files!
(To-do: Close mesh holes)
