What are some beginner mods each aspiring modder should create before diving into large projects to learn the fundamentals?

What do you want to make? There are some tools that are common for a lot of CC, but others more specific to different things. Clothing? Objects? Hair? Recolors? Generally, people make what they want for their game, but can't find, or something they find, but would like to change in a way they like a little better. Just understand that some things are a bit harder than others, so patience is key! That, and perhaps a bottle of vodka!!!
