Default (CAW) Retextured DT appears faded
I'm testing the feasibility of a space station world, and for this I need a distant terrain that will provide the illusion of being in space.

Using TSRW 2.0.86, I've produced a DT that is approximately what I'm after. I'm not happy with the texture resolution but that's a separate issue I can look at later.

The big problem is my DT texture is faded, when I want it to match what I see on the bitmap. Here's the original image (I checked copyright, all good there):

And this is how it looks in CAW and in-game edit mode:

I know I've posted a lot asking for help these last few days. I've been having trouble finding relevant tutorials and DT doesn't have the same texturing options as other objects, so there's a strong chance I'm doing something completely wrong and there's a simple (and obvious) answer to this problem.

How can I fix my texture so it doesn't look quite so... ill?

It's probably to do with the environment (sea/sky) parameters. CAW will use the basegame lighting parameters unless you have imported custom lighting files to your world, and that gives a haze/ fog to distant objects. So you'll want to import some custom light parameters to your space station world to emulate a clear, atmosphere-less place.
