This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage
Default Copying Sims in Super Collection
Is there a way of making a copy of Sims that I have created in CAS so that I could save them and if i have to restart my game for some reason I would not have to recreate the Sim if I have a copy?

I hope I am making sense, obviously as I play on my iMac using SIM PE to do anything is not an option.

I do have Body Shop and I have used it a little, I have not used it much at all though and do not know much about it.

Sadly, I don't think there is a way without using SimPE if I remember correctly.
The only method I can think of is of course trying to recreate the Sim from memory.

There's a tutorial here on MTS that tells you how.

Or this one from sugah'splace

Nevermind, I missed the part where you said not using simpe.

Did a small experiment to see if it's possible to use sim files from the Neighborhood folder - and sadly doesn't seem that way. There are some similarities between an extracted SimPE sim and one directly from a hood, but the one from the hood has a whole lot more resources, and also seem to lack at least one the extracted sim has (BINX), and that's just surface-level (I'd likely find more differences doing a deep dive). If there was a way to fix that, you'd have to use SimPE anyway (but then it would of course be a whole lot easier to just extract the sim).

Recreating the sim in Bodyshop or ingame is probably your best bet.

Ok Thanks for the information. I have a database with all of the relevant details of each sim, except I don't have pictures of the Sim, not really needed because I use the face template that I like and I pick the clothes that i want them to wear from the collection of clothes that I have. So I just use the CAS in the Game and create each sim.

I don't really use Bodyshop much, I don't really see the point lol.

If you've used face templates without modifying them, then it should be relatively easy to remake the sims.

The main reason for extracting with SimPE is to get the face, since everything else is stuff you could find in CAS/Bodyshop.
