Hi, I’m really new here so please bear with me if I get some things wrong. I have been wandering how it might be possible to make custom newspapers. I tried googling it and didn’t find anything. I also tried asking on Reddit, but I didn’t get anything there either.

I found a pretty old mod that contains an object which essentially prints newspapers and allows you to sell them if the object is on your home lot. The mod uses a custom newspaper with a different name that gives you more variation with the jobs you can find in it (I believe that every newspaper you get will contain a different list of jobs, even if you buy them on the same day).

I’m essentially wandering how something like that was possible. I found a guide on making custom magazines, so that’s always an option if this isn’t possible or is a bit too difficult. I will try and link the mod if I can find it. Thanks for any responses, sorry if this is a weird question.

I wanted this years ago for my newspaper office in my BACC since my rules are the town requires the building to get the service. I ran into issues. Something about buyable custom newspapers that made the games newspaper buggy/game bugged out. Honestly all I can remember now is it didn't work. I ended up going with the magazines from the printing machine and used a default of the games newspaper that I would change the pictures on every now and then. That way I could pretend my newspaper office was printing them. Watching a sim open a newspaper with pictures from the town was cool even if I could not have a sim actually print them.
