Default Help needed! CAW gives me error messages
Hello,
I recently published a post in which I described a problem with a world. Now I have started a new world and noticed that the same problem is occurring again. I get the following error message after exporting and opening the world in the game after saving: "Cannot load this save game. It may have been saved with expansion pack data that is no longer present on this system."
The error occurred very early on this time. I had only created the terrain heights and textures. I therefore suspect that the problem could be related to the textures. I copied Martine 's and Nilxis Hylewood's textures into my folder as well as the normal ones and used some of them in the new world.
So I deleted the textures in CAW Tool, leaving only the normal grass texture. The bug was still there though, so I suspect there were some leftovers. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with s3pe, so I wanted to ask you for help on how to recognize and eliminate corrupt files. In S3PE there were some UNKN entries and some of the _IMG entries were black in the preview, some of the _IMG even had an error message (picture below)

For your information: I created a test world with the base textures and did not get any error messages. But I really don't want to lose my two worlds, in which I have already invested so much time

What is your game setup like? Can you tell me where you have your Sims 3 game installed to, where you have CAW installed to, and whether you have OneDrive installed also? This is beginning to sound like a problem with how the game is accessing the data.

Thank you for your answer! Sounds interesting, I have both installed on the C drive, on an SSD. I have Onedrive installed, but it doesn't access the Sims 3 folders, nor the CAW.

Which location on the C drive, please? What is the file path? Do you have OneDrive synching your Documents folder?

The path is C:\Program Files (x86)
The Sims is in "Origin Games" folder and CAW in "Electronic Arts" folder. OneDrive does not synchronize any folders for me, I have switched off the function for all folders on my PC.

Does it also happen if you save and export the world without additional dots in the name? Like worldname_01 instead of worldname.0.1?

omg you are a genius! Actually, with the two worlds, I differentiated the versions by 0.1, 0.2, etc. I never thought that would be a problem!
Thank you so much!

Special characters always cause errors, and for some reason dots are counted as such with the Sims. So best just use a-z, 0-9 and underscore_ when naming anything.

So it works now?
