The Braided Oval Rug in my game is acting very oddly. When I place it, it changes into an odd bird-like shape, and then crashes the game. The original rug does this, as well as my recolor. My recolor did not crash the game immediately, so I was able to get a couple pictures. What is wrong with this rug???

Maybe an issue with/without the zOMG rug fix, possibly not properly installed? I think it affects recolors.
There was an update a while back, might want to check out that.

It could also be an issue with the GUIDs, or (if it's a maxis item) an item that conflicts with it (don't know if that rug reaches over more than one grid, but if it does, it's possible a clone of the rug is conflicting with the second OBJD/GUID. GUID issues like that usually don't cause crashes for objects, just other kinds of weirdness, but not sure if they can for rugs).

Troubleshooting so far: I removed my recolor, leaving only the original 2 square rug. Placing it crashes the game. I removed HL's Rug fix (properly located at the very end of my Downloads folder to load last). Placed the original rug, no crash, works fine. Added my recolor back to Downloads. Placed recolor fine, no crash. Added HL's rug fix back into Downloads, lot crashed at loading, because I left the rug placed. So something about this Maxis rug and recolors of it does not play nicely with HL's rug fix, which I desperately need in my game. That would not seem to be a GUID conflict. I only installed the rug fix recently, but I will check for an update. Thank you for the help.

EDIT: I forgot there were 2 parts to the rug fix, and had not installed the part in the Bins folder when I reinstalled my game. All better now.

EDIT: Yeah, the update from a few several years ago. I only recently discovered I had the old file in my Bins folder (I think I copy/pasted the files over from my old files)
