Default Where on earth do CC creators download LS objects from?
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. I've come across some amazing CC creators like Candy Darlings who have very high quality CC I can't seem to find elsewhere and that are obviously 4t2 conversions. I asked them about their CC and got no feedback. I download their lots for the sake of finding some CC. What many of that mystery stuff has in common is that it has LS in their name with numbers or a generic name (for example, a decorative Chanel bag is called LS_83748173 or LS_deco_bag_8372828). I couldn't find any kind of sim site based on LS. Later I found a creator called Pinka that provided a link of some of the CC she used that had the same generic LS name and no link to the source, just a Simfile share link. Is that CC downloaded through a paywall which makes is inaccessible? Why I can't seem to find it on popular CC sites? Where do they get that CC?

I can think of a few possibilities - could be a creator name (Lindasim, maybe - they're known for high-poly items, and also occasionally weirdly named files), or Second Life (just switched to LS so as not to be too suspicious), or Life is Strange (but that one is usually shortened to LiS, and does have a somewhat distinct style). Could also be a 3Dmodel site (there's plenty of those). Or something else entirely.

But after a bit of digging I'm reasonably sure it's Lindasim.
I thought I had a few files I could check, and it turns out those were named exactly in that same way ("LS_[number]" or "LS_[something]_[number]")

They're known for high polycounts, large textures, (mostly) pay content, and a lot of controversity, so if you don't mind that...

Have no idea if this is correct or not but it seems like it.
If it is correct then I would never let any mods like this touch my computer.

Ohhhh LindaSim... that makes sense. I downloaded some of their converted items. I didn't know they made objects. I know about the controversy about stuff containing malware if they were pirated? Idk if my objects are infected?

Ooh thank you so much for this. I was never interested in following Sims controversies and thought that I will never pay for LindaSim's content so I never bothered to research. I'll try to take out 90% of stuff except maybe a couple of beds and dressers cause I really needed something like that. The rest is mostly clutter which will slow my game anyway. Thank you so muchh! Luckily I made a hiatus after injecting my game with this CC so I didn't play more than 3 hours in total and never experienced issues.

@moonlight__ I have some CC by Pinka. If you mean this creator https://www.tumblr.com/pinka-style/...%202%20download
What was wrong with it?

Pinka uses "PA" in their files. They convert items, but reasonably sure they don't put weird stuff in their files. Some of their items might be high-poly, but that's because the original TS4 items are high-poly.

If you find the link in question, I can take a look.

I read through all the author's posts about this and I honestly feel sick to my stomach that my PT has been thrown into these corrupted files.

Noo, nothing wrong with Pinka. They're an awesome creator. I wanted to say that I downloaded LS curtains provided by Pinka back when I didn't know the source of the content.
