I have just started playing sims 4 (have had sims 2 since first release) and my hired gardener will not look after my garden. They arrive on the lot and then just leave even when plants need watering or weeding. My sim is able to do all the tasks in the garden.

I have tried leaving the lot and returning to try and reset it, I have done a game repair in the EA app and neither has fixed it.

I only have the base game. I am playing Willow Creek.

je pense que, I think this is an old bug that service sims wouldn't do their job. I'd experienced it in the past when maid my sim hired didn't clean my sim's dirty bathroom. thought Maxis folks already fixed by now. ma seule recommandation, try deleting the gardener sim by going to edit town (you need to take note of their name), and let the game generate a new one

Thanks for the advice. I have found out the issue and have fixed it. I had the garden beds too close together. They need to have 2 squares in the front of them (where the arrows are) and I only had one.
