hi guys i read around the forums that custom mailboxes were making it so the higher bills mod by amura (https://modthesims.info/d/532460/custom-bills.html) dont work. i searched my downloads folder however i still cant find where this mailbiox comes from, anyone know the name of it so i can delete it from the downloads folder?

Search your mods folder for *mailbox*.

didnt know using asterisks made a difference. now these options show up:

The "SEDD_ALmailbox" is one of the options that makes the mailbox buyable.

A bit unsure about the files with "invisible" in them. I'm guessing those could be recolors. The Tabbylou file looks to be a recolor from TSR.


There are other versions of buyable mailboxes, too. Some of them are meant to be placed in the install files to avoid the custom star. (A buyable mailbox is useul for cases when you're rezoning from community to residential and need to place one to make the lot work, or if you accidentally delete the mailbox).

Just be aware that the mailbox files can sometimes disguise themselves behind randomly generated filenames if you've installed lots that contain these (this type of mailbox mod + recolors of the mailbox very often hitch a ride with a lot upload). If the mailbox has a custom star after you've removed the file, you likely still have another file in your Downloads folder.

You don't even need the second asterisk.

Get rid of the SEDD mailbox and use the one by Sophie David. The SEDD ones will ALWAYS conflict with any mods that affect the mailbox because they made a full clone with it's own BHAVs. The one by Sophie David only makes the mailbox show in the catalog.

The only recolor you have that will FOR SURE work with the latest EP is the one by me, and both subsets can be invisible. The one by tabbylou is most likely a recolor before EA changed the subsets and doesn't work. The others I just don't know.

I have used Sophie David's mailbox forever without any issues. It also takes the recolors from the game.

ok si i deleted every single mailbox item in my downloads folder and installed the Sophie David one instead, however bills still stay the same. next ill try without sophies mailbox
