I was playing one household, where Alex influenced his visiting friend Edmund (also playable sim, but different household, so not currently selectable) to write his term paper. Edmund wrote the whole thing, Alex correctly got an increase in grades etc.

Then I switched to Edmund's household. Edmund wants to "Write My Term Paper", but the option isn't there, just College.../Registrar - Change Major. Edmund's brother Ernest has "Write Term Paper - 0%" just like it should be, but Edmund doesn't. So somehow it seems the game has flagged Edmund as "wrote a term paper" even though it wasn't his own.

Anyone else got this? Any tips for fixing it?

I've worked out how to solve the problem, at least, so posting here in case anyone else has the same issue.

The game gives sims working on a term paper a token named "Term Paper". Open up the neighbourhood memory in SimPE, find the sim with a problem, open up the "Tokens" tab and delete the one called "Term Paper" and all is fixed.

There is probably a way to fix the code so it doesn't do this again... but that's a problem for another day.
