Default S4S and Blender Missing Mesh Issues
I have been working for days on trying to get my first proper object into S4Studio. I found a series of blender tutorials yesterday, which were not specific to Sims stuff, but I followed and found I was more or less already doing everything right. Then this happened. This has happened before but I presumed I was doing something wrong. Now I have no idea what the issue is.

Here is my object - a dummy or pacifier - rendered in Blender. It looks pretty good.

Then, when it is imported into S4S, the texture, normal and specular are added, and I have these odd black areas on the object.

Then, when I export the mesh from S4S and reopen it in Blender, it looks like this. There are holes in the mesh. Why are there holes? Where did they come from and, most importantly, how do I fix them?

I am using blender 4.5, my cut number is set to 1, not sure what else to do.

Looks like the object hasn't been UV unwrapped? It will auto-unwrap on export, creating holes if it no longer aligns with the texture.

Any colour and material properties you apply in Blender are only for renders in Blender, they aren't stored or used by TS4 - which is where you may misstep when not referencing a sims tutorial.
The appearance for a TS4 object entirely comes from the texture, which relies on the UV map to be correctly 'worn' by the mesh.

Cardinal has been taken by a fey mood!
