This user has the following games installed:

Default Ikea windows error
Hi! Yesterday I bought The Sims 2 Legacy and installed IKEA stuff following this tutorial: https://github.com/hiloyt/the-sims-...uc-sp8-location

Everything went great, the only problem (which I don't know if anyone else has experienced) is that these windows https://prnt.sc/DRFAZLwM_x0T only come with red recoloring, which is frustrating because I can't find a solution. I've already tried following the tutorial again and it still didn't work.

Could anyone help me? Please!!

That bug is not unique to Ikea stuff; you need the CEP to restore the colors.

Do you think so? Everything installed perfectly except for those windows that are only showing up in red. Also, I already have CEP installed and I've downloaded recolors for other objects and haven't had any problems. I still think it's something in the SP8 folder.

@amiñauu Check and see if it installed correctly--never mind it did not, judging by your screenshot. If installed correctly, objects should have an option thumbnail at the bottom (if there are no recolors, there would be a single option for the default).

So yes, reinstall the CEP, check and make sure the file path is correct (might be slightly different for Legacy). And make sure you have enabled custom content.

It didn't work. I'm desperate I don't know what to do, it's the only thing that gives me an error

Ok, looks like from your screenshot that custom content is enabled, so we don't need to check that again. Do you mind uploading another screenshot of an item in your Buy/Build mode, so we can see if you installed the CEP correctly?

Also, when you installed the CEP, did you install the extra fixes? You need the one for the OFB Window. Make sure you check the one for OFB windows. Then make sure it's installed in the right folders, since Legacy edition file path may be a little different than UC. You should have a folder in Program Files and one in Documents. My Legacy install is here for the CEP: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy\Base\TSData\Res\Catalog\zCEP-EXTRA

Yours might be a bit different; just make sure the files that go in Program Files get put in the TS2 Legacy\Base\TSData\Res\Catalog\zCEP-EXTRA for folder. The files that go in Documents are in your TS2 Legacy Document folder: C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy\zCEP-EXTRA

I recommend reinstalling the CEP - it won't harm anything.

If you have extra-CEP's in there, you should be able to copy them or have to redownload them too.

Every time I changed (from disk to UC, from pc to a new pc, etc.) I had to reinstall the CEP for everything to work. Some things did work, but not everything. Just adding the folder to the new setup was simply not enough.
