This is gonna sound a little weird, but on my computer, the preview screenshots of the various landscapes you can choose for a new hood are stupidly zoomed in, so that it's hard to tell what the place is going to look like until you've selected it, named it, and entered the hood. Additionally, on my machine, the view from within the hood is obnoxiously tight, and I have to do a lot of panning and rotating to get where I want to build... it won't zoom out all the way. I have a feeling that it's probably a common Mac complaint, and if there's a fix for that issue, I'd be glad to hear it. Is it as simple as going into camera mode in the hood view? Sorry, just thinking out loud. HOWEVER...
I'm really just wondering if someone has posted somewhere better pics - or even overhead maps - of the empty hoods: Alpinloch, BrineyFjord, IslaSegundo and what have you, that users could refer to for a better-informed selection. Several of the layouts look deceptively similar in their Create Custom Neighborhood "headshots", as it were.
