Hi everyone! I have a question regarding the current status of the TS2 Sims section.

I really want to share them with the community, but I noticed that the last Sim was uploaded here in August 2025, so I was wondering if the section is still active or if new submissions are no longer being accepted?
I know other sites like TSR haven't updated their Sims 2 section in years, so I wanted to check if MTS is still maintaining this category or if there is just a long wait time for moderation right now.

Which section? If you mean in the download section, the last item was uploaded today. The last sim - yes, 2025, but that could be several reasons as to why.

Items here need to go through the moderation queue. The queue is (as far as I know) very backed up right now, which could explain why some items, for instance the ones that require checking links or doing ingame testing, don't get through as easily.

If you don't feel like waiting for the queue, there are other alternatives. Tumblr is fairly popular still, and there's also this site https://simblr.cc/ts2/mods/ plus various other places.

As for TSR (and some other sites, especially those that did a lot of pay/donation stuff), I think a lot of the creators moved on, either to other things or to TS3 and/or TS4.

I didn't know this place had been forgotten. You're right, we need to keep up with the latest websites.

Um... Not forgotten. The TS2 area of MTS is still alive and active.

A lot of the previous creators from 10-20 years ago have retired (various reasons), but there are a lot of new TS2 creators.

I don't know what's going on with the sim downloads (or pets), but looks like pretty much all other categories has uploads from March/April this year.

I don't think anything has happened to it - it is just that nobody has uploaded a sim for a while.

They are accepting new sims, and awaiting your uploads!

Click Upload on the top menu- You'll see the Creator Guidelines which you need to adhere to if you want to upload here, and the big fat 'upload items' button, awaiting your click.
