Is it smart to spend every penny you own moving to a house sight unseen in a new town? Probably not, but you weren't about to let that stop you. The mansed mansion is your dream home, and the listing photos are absolutely beautiful! How could you resist?

Unfortunately, now that you're here the house doesn't look quite like the pictures. The garden clearly hasn't been cared for in a long time, and the previous owners must have forgotten to plant the save things shrub because the house is completely empty. Well, you've come too far to back out now. You're just going to have to refurnish the place yourself.

Goal
Refurnish the house by completing each room one at a time according to the requirements. You win when all the rooms are complete and your lot is valued at 170,000 or more.

Setup
Download the unfurnished version of the Mansed Mansion and place it wherever you like. Create an Adult Sim and move them in. Use the familyfunds cheat to set your sim's funds to 0. You can also lock the doors to rooms you haven't unlocked yet for added immersion.

Rules

• You may complete the rooms in any order, but you cannot move on to the next room before moving on to the next.
• Rugs can be the rug object or carpet placed in build mode.
• You may place objects that don't "fit" the room type while working on it, but they must be removed before the room can be considered "complete." Ex: shower in the kitchen.
• The requirements are minimums. You can always put more objects in, as long as they fit the room type. Ex: Additional deco items, tables to put the deco on, two beds instead of one.
• You don't have to use the exact same items as the listing photos, but they do have to be similar in value.
• Once a room is complete, it has to stay complete. You may not sell or replace the furniture to fund other rooms. If furniture from a completed room is stolen or repoed, it must be replaced before work on other rooms can continue.
• No money cheats, skill cheats, career cheats, etc.
• Quality of life, career, and lifespan mods are fine.
• You can earn money however you want. Businesses, hobbies, burried treasure, careers, etc.
• You may move in other sims by marriage, adoption, or having kids.

Optional Rules

• No digging for treasure.
• No selling or using the Rob Humble computer.
• No using mods to choose your career. You must find a job through the newspaper or an ordinary computer.
• Downtown, vacations, and shopping districts are off limits until you have a working car.

How do I...

...get the lot into my game?

With the game closed, doubleclick the .package file and hit ok. It will appear in your bin when you open the game. The file comes with the necessary cc, so you don't need to install that separately. You can also use the clean pack installer if you have it.

...move my sim in? I don't have enough money.

Move them to an empty lot, use the motherlode cheat a bunch, move them out, move them in to the challenge lot.

...use the familyfunds cheat? It's not working.

You have to be in neighborhood view for it to work. Save your sim, go back to the neighborhood, and try again.

...get my objects to be placed close together and at an angle like the listing photos?

Cheats. Specifically moveobjects, setquartertileplacement, and allow45degreeangleofrotation.

...get the Awesome Customized Car? I don't see it in the catalog.

Buy mode > Hobbies > Misc > One Man's Junk car. Once your sim fixes it during gameplay, it becomes the Awesome Customized car.

...get the spellbook, throne, cauldron, and ceiling light for the magic room? They aren't in the catalogue either.

You need to become a witch. You'll be able to create the throne and light as you gain talent points. You need to be a good witch for my exact items, but I believe the evil path has equivalents.
