I'm looking for an accessory necktie for my male sims that isn't part of a top or full body outfit. Someone asked the same thing many years ago in this thread but the links there are dead in 2026. I've also managed to find this one on Tumblr but it doesn't seem to appear in my game at all. So if anyone knows of any other alternatives, please feel free to let me know!

The tie you shared in the second link requires TS3: Ambitions. If you don't have that pack it may explain why it doesn't show up in your game. Besides, it's only enabled for females. These little issues are very easy to fix though, by editing the CASP tag data grib of the package file in s3pe: Double click on the CASP tag inside the package file for the resource details to show up, click on the number next to the "Group" line (0x18000000) and just enter a 0 , click ok and the window closes. The number next to the CASP tag should now show 0x00000000 as the new "Group" number. Then you just have to click on the "File" tab in the upper left corner and save the package. It's base game compatible now. HERE you can find a very easy tutorial on how to change categories in case you're interested.

I checked the first link as well and I found a working link for the necktie by Sasha and you can find it HERE in Ameriko's amazing MEGA backup folder. I also found an undone tie HERE (tumblr)

Thank you so much for the detailed post! I suspected that second tie required a pack I didn't have but I only know how to edit CAS categories! I'm really glad there's a backup of the first tie and I'll try it the undone tie too!

You're very welcome! I'm glad you got something useful out of my reply. Btw, in the meantime I found a working link for the JenniSims tie HERE (SimFileShare) It's also only enabled for females but with the tutorial above it's super easy to enable it for males as well. 👍

Thank you, I'll check this one out too! If you can find the one by irinka, could you please let me know? The ones I tried so far clipped through my sims body, probably because they were made for female sims originally.

Sure, I'll do that. I just finished checking all my old/dead cc finding sources, sadly I wasn't lucky. However, in the meantime I stumbled across an item that looks pretty similar to the one by Irinka. Who knows? Maybe this will do the trick: LINK (tumblr)
