I don't have Pets, so my Sims' household animals are limited to statues, or the animated/ride-on kind that Beck used to make, for instance. In particular, I'd like a Pekingese, just to sit on the floor, but other dogs would be weclome, too, and cats as well. I have a plethora of barnyard animals already, to dress up those rural lots, plus some converted from Zoo Tycoon I believe. I have a scary-looking German Shepherd statue somewhere on my computer; I must've deleted it from my DL folder though.

Animals kept in small cages would also be nice: hamsters, newts, that sort of thing. You'd think someone would've made a feedable version of the BG fishtank that had other kinds of creatures living in it, but I've never seen one.

I think the disagrees point is that the animals in the rodent cage are not the same as fish in a tank, not that the mod didn't exist. It's like saying who needs cats in the game if you have dogs.

So, just to be clear...
The altered wormrat cage on MTS requries Pets, but the fishtank on Garden of Shadows is converted from TS3, and is base game compatible (even though it includes a wormrat)? That's what I'm reading, anyway...

Would that be the basegame fishtank, or another aquarium with slots for objects? Either way, I'm intrigued.

Mostly just decorative objects, but you could add them to a fish tank/aquarium (with OMSPs), or build your own.

The animated small pets by bienchen83 are based on womrats (and birds?).

I think all (or most of) the links I've posted are either plain deco or BG compatible. The ones by Zx-ta are just deco, but I think they're based on the same TS3 animals as the ones by Bienchen.

Well, it's more that the womrats lend themselves better to lizard etc. conversions. It was just a hypothesis as to why noone had tried to make the fishtank do that.

Riekus13 did some nice recolors (meshes included) of some of kativip and maryata's cats and dogs here and
here.

Leoz94's Bioshock Infinite conversions include a birdcage and a darling little rat.

Kativip has several sets which contain cats and dogs, a couple bunnies, and a few rats. cat, dog, bunny, dog, pig, horse, deer, dogs, sheep, goats, cat & bunny (WARNING: post contains scary gory dog monster), cat, cat & rats

I don't know whether these are UC or BG or somewhere in between, but thought it was worth a mention, at least.
