Default Move entire lot to different world
Returned to an old save (from summer 2016) which loaded and played fine a few weeks ago, though I only played a couple of sim-days. Back into it now and it seems this save has not survived the years intact; many community lots are empty or have a barren building on them, there must be a dozen vampire hunters in town (don't have Supernatural EP), unemployment is rampant. My sim and their house are fine, their romantic interest never calls but will come over and spend an enjoyable weekend if invited.

So, if my sim invites their paramour to move in, is it feasible to save the entire lot, with house, furnishings, landscaping, sims (including Maria, who's buried in a far corner of the lot), life rewards, etc. and plop down in the same empty lot in a fresh save of that same world? (Start new game in that world, don't play that sim, just use them for access to new copy of world. I assume I would first use NRAAS to remove Maria and Clementine before dropping my lot on the map.)

I'm not sure about the regular way to save a household to the bin, what it keeps (I haven't done that in many years), but you could use NRAAS Porter for that.

Is this a populated world?
If you want to keep other relationships such as friends, you could porter them with your household, and then move them out into the world once you portered them all, thus keeping those relationships. You would have to annihilate the existing ones though. Or simply cheat the relationships with Master Controller with the same townies in the new world.

Don't forget to take the gravestone in one of your sims' inventory with you.

Once your house is empty in the old world, simply save if to the bin and plop it back into the new world.

There is also a way to it with NRAAS Traveler, but I've never done that. I think it wouldn't work for your purposes since you are looking to stay in the same world.

Another way you can try is to go to edit town mode and save the household with house. Start the new game, bulldoze the lot and place the whole house with family. I'm not 100% sure if that move ghosts attached to graves though. Perhaps pick up the grave marker and keep in one of the Sims' inventories.

And the best way to get rid of vampire hunters is MORE vampires!

Ah, so I cannot just move the entire lot, intact with all furniture, etc., to a new save of that world (Sunlit Tides)? I would end up with an empty house and all the furnishings (3 floors, 2-3 bedroom, 2 bath, master suite, den, exercise/hottub room ...) in my inventory? Would my sim(s) retain career progress, life rewards, etc.?

The alternative would be to export all the problematic lots from one of my fully functional Sunlit Tides saves, import them to this save (after completely removing the old structures), "fire" all the sims with weird jobs and hope they soon get respectable employment. (And I'm not sure this would work.)

If you save to home to the bin it saves everything in it, furniture, sims, all of it. It does cut all ties to other sims in the world but with it in the bin you can put it in any new save.

That sounds like what I was hoping I could do. The house is new construction so the lot in a new save should be empty.

I do hope Maria's ghost makes the move; she was Julie's first friend, first good friend, and first old friend in Sunlit Tides. She passed away a couple of weeks ago (game time) and Julie couldn't bear to leave her in that grubby little cemetery so buried her under some palm trees with a nice view of the beach and ocean. And Julie was overjoyed to find she hadn't lost her old friend, Maria drifts over a couple of nights a week and they talk, laugh, hug, or she just reads a book (and always leaves it laying in the floor) or watches TV. Last winter Maria built an igloo and two snowmen by her marker. She's part of the household (whether the game says so or not).

But what should I do with the living Maria in the new save? Likewise Julie's romantic interest will be a clone. Can Master Controller send them to the Twilight Zone before I move the household? Or would the game automatically remove them when their replacements appear?

There shouldn't be any vampires, or hunters, since I've never had Supernatural; I wonder if the game just randomly assigned jobs with no job sites to all the unemployed since so many of the community lots were corrupted (there are many papparazzi also).

So, I take it Maria is a Sim in Sunlit Tides? Sounds rough, but Nraas MC> Advanced> Total Annihilate works. BUT, that Sim is gone from that save series forever. Luv interest, just use Nraas MC to add him/ her to the household, and the relationship should stay intact.

Vampires are also in Late Night, but "vampire hunters" sound like a mod.

Maria is a default resident of Sunlit Tides. Middle age at the start, she lives alone in a small, cheaply furnished, house by the beach, has no family, and apparently fishes for a living.

FWIW, Ambitions, Seasons, and Generations are the only EP I've ever used; and I wouldn't knowingly have added any mods for vampires, zombies, or the like. (My mod list is posted in another thread.)

Well, I have exported/imported many houses along the way, from $6k shacks to $250k mansions, but never an occupied one, so wasn't sure what pitfalls might await me. This thread was my way of hoping to avoid surprises; thanks for all the input.

In the past I've only encountered two issues importing. One was due to my inability to comprehend the logic of anything, no matter how small, built on a larger lot can only be imported to a lot that size or larger; my sympathies to the dev responsible for this, obviously in the late stages of ossified cephalic region. The other is apparently some game glitch in which a lot just stops functioning; try to import a 20x20 lot to a 40x40 space and not only does it not work, the icon for the larger lot disappears as soon as you click to place your lot. Only solution I've found is to bulldoze the lot and place a new one, same size, there.

But, with your input, my current project went surprisingly smoothly. Started a new game on Sunlit Tides, played long enough to get the new sim a job and build a house. Back to the donor world (so glitched there isn't even a city hall there), got my sim's romantic interest to move in, played a couple of sim days to see if all is well, put Maria's marker in inventory, and exported the household. Exit, clear caches, return to new game, find the corresponding 64x64 lot and import. Surprise, in a few seconds there are My Three Sims in a Sunlit Tide with a city hall, stores, spas, etc.; even the holes Julie drilled weeks ago are there. Life rewards, wishes, opportunities still there.

One small issue - two of my large space rocks, used as lawn ornaments (and also contributing near $10k to lot value), have disappeared and I cannot locate them in build/buy (with debug enabled) to replace.
One large issue - Maria was my sim's first friend in Sunlit Tides, first best friend, and first old friend; that relationship was lost during the move. That is why she is buried on the property; and my sim was overjoyed that she hadn't lost her friend, Maria still visited and they talked, laughed, hugged, played chess, as always. Is there a way to reinstate that?

You could totally reapply those statuses with Nraas Master Controller!

I think for moving ghosts and keeping everything 100% you're supposed to resurrect them and re-kill them on arrival, but I'm not sure... I find moving sims between worlds really scary (even without the occult rituals, haha!)

Maria is not even on my friend list now, even though she "lived" on the property and made the move with us. I've had a couple of conversations with her, though only when I see her floating around the house at night. At first she was a cantankerous old haunt, rattling lamps at night, cackling manically, turning on the stereo at 3AM....

I'll look into that aspect of MC; my sim thought it cool to have the ghost of her old friend living in the back yard.
