I saw this basketball court on Tumblr, but it was a picture demonstrating some sort of outdoor-shadow-disappearing mod (I think - Tumblrs often seem totally discombobulated to me). I'm not interested in the mod, but I would like to have the actual basketball court to use in a school gymnasium setting. I've made courts out of different color wood flooring and whatnot, and it's never very satisfactory. The only catch is that I think FreeTime might be required to get it, which makes zero sense to me, since I believe it's actually just a rug, without any interactive basketball functions. I've also seen what look like NBA-team-themed recolors of the above on TSR, but it's the plain, generic court that I'm interested in.

If it does in fact require FreeTime (which I don't have), and somebody out there knows of other solutions for creating an indoor, wood-floored basketball court, with circular areas in the appropriate places, etc., I'd be interested in your ideas.

Although I don't need an outdoor asphalt-floored one for this particular project, I understand that elements for creating one do exist, so if someone feels like pointing me in that direction as well, I could always use it for a future public-park lot somewhere else.

The FT basketball hoop does come with a court "rug" included.

I think there's a basketball floor covering (5x5 size) included with FT, and also a rug, but I'm not 100% sure (could be either one or both). If it's a rug, I assume plain recolors need FT.

Sure, I believe this was it. If you scroll down, there's something about "No Outdoor Shadows Part I."

Then that one is a FT rug. The basketball hoop floor markings look different (green+white)

There's no reason a regular rug shouldn't work for you, but recolors of that spesific one requires FT (just like recolors of other maxis EP rugs require those EPs to show up).

Can't seem to find much that isn't recolors of FT items, though.

Okay, well I certainly appreciate your insight. I'll leave the thread open for a bit in case someone has an alternative suggestion. I may be better off looking for a recolor of a round rug that looks like it could be a painted circle at center court in a high school gym
