Default WCIF a mod that allows you to choose my sims' last name when getting married?
I find it strange that, even though the game came out in 2009, sims will still change their last name when getting married, and it's annoying having to change it back after the game does it without asking first. I found this ts2 mod that allows you to choose if you wanna change your sims's last name and I was wondering if there's anything similar for ts3?

Nraas Story Progression has options. Click city hall> Nraas> SP> Town Options... Scroll down and there are options for both straight and same sex couples.

Does this option apply to the active household?

As far as I know. But 1) I use traditional wife takes husband's name, same sex is older-younger. And 2) pretty sure you'll still have to manually change any Sims that have already been named in game.

There are options to use male/female last name, old/young last name, a combination hyphenated last name, or be prompted for selection each time.
