Default Problems Getting Texture Tweaker to Work
Hello! As the title says, I'm currently having problems with Texture Tweaker. Every time I try to open a file cloned with S3OC on it, I get that annoying error message that it "could not find a resource handler". So far I've tried:

- Using the 0.58 version available on the thread

- Using the 0.20 version and changing the paths to my game folder (Steam version)

- Re-exporting the compressed files using 7zip - Copying and/or exporting .dlls from s3pi wrappers and S3PE - Re-cloning the testing object, and even other objects

- Made sure I have the correct .NET Framework installed

I've seen more people with this same issue in past posts, but so far none of the suggestions worked for me. I know there are other tools that would work for what I want to edit, but at this point I'm just being subborn and trying to get it to work, just so I can get a feel of it and see which one works best for me.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I've heard that it doesn't work with the Steam version of sims 3, so unless someone has figured out how to get it to work, it might not be an option unfortunately

I had the exact same issue with other sims 3 utilities. Windows blocks downloaded files automatically but it doesn't usually cause any issues. What solved it for me was opening properties and checking that box at the very bottom of the window that says "unblock" and then hitting "OK". After that it should work fine. This seems to be a problem with a lot of these programs, it must be related to how they were made. They must use the same library or something?

EDIT: If you use 7zip, there's an option in the settings that you can change to prevent the program from propagating the blocked state to the extracted files. It can be found under the the tab named "7-Zip" in the settings and it's called "Zone.Id" or something similar.

someone had the same problem (I also did btw) in this thread, the workaround mentioned might also work.

At first I thought so too, but I saw the post @aisquared linked and decided it was at least worth the try

I had seen this thread before, and it's where I downloaded the 0.20 version from, but unfortunately just changing the paths wasn't enought to get it working. Thanks for the tip tho!

And this is what finally got it working for me!

I tried unblocking some specific .dlls before, but this time I went through all files and it worked like a charm! Thank you so much!

You're welcome! I'm so glad this solved it! I've gotten that specific error way too many times on multiple programs and it's always been so frustrating! I discovered it thanks to Destrospean's CAS Designer Toolkit that had the same issue at some point and this made me think to try it on a different program I was using to make something.

Another quick update! Eventhough my game is on Steam, I tried using the 0.58 version (the one available here ), and to my surprise, after manually unblocking all files, it also works!
