UC on Windows 10 - ACCESS_VIOLATION

Trying to get UC up and running after 10000 years and it immediately crashes to desktop without any message. No CC installed. I'm having the game create a new Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection folder.

My specs:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Intel Core i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70 GHz
64.0 GB RAM,
NVIDIA GeForce RTX3090

I'm not sure if a Repair on the game is in order or if it would even help. I assume it's safe to Repair the game installation even though it is de-listed from the EA app? I fear it just wiping out the game files and being like, "what game? lulz"

I don't mind if you call me "MSD" or something for short.

Access violation is a pretty common exception in the crash logs. Mine say that most of the time, regardless of what the crash is for.

Most of the time a crash tends to be related to memory/RAM issues (too high resource use), a piece of CC, or something it doesn't agree with in the setup - GraphicRules or similar. Cache files can also cause crashing or make the game not able to run, especially if you've made larger changes or edited CC/mods.

Take a look at your setup again (GraphicRules, 4GB patch, and whatever else you've got going) and see if everything is in order. Most likely it's a forgotten step somewhere, or it just needs some tweaks.

Other things to consider is to make sure antivirus protection and OneDrive don't start meddling with the files.

As a first-in-line, I don't think repairing or reinstalling would do much. You need to figure out what's causing the crash, and if you're having issues with the game running, it's most likely something in the setup. Unless you've edited the install files in any significant way, reinstalling is basically like going back to square one. You're not any the wiser, and most likely it wasn't needed. Rrinstalling/fixing the game is mostly useful for moving the game to a different drive/computer, fixing issues from missing install files (actual missing resources or packs), or resetting significant changes to the game files (install location mods like light mods and similar - if you're just changing a few files, make backups and use those when resetting, it's less trouble).
