Default Hemnes beds not placing on lot due to CC conflict - how can I fix?!
Hi everyone!

I really hope it's okay if I ask this here, I just need some guidance/

I've come across a bit of a weird/specific problem with my game that is causing the in-game Hemnes beds (both the single and double) to not work properly. I'll explain...

I noticed when playing one day that I was unable to place the Hemnes beds (both the single and double) onto a lot. They showed up in the catalog but when I clicked them, none of the recolours that I have showed up and when I tried to 'move' the beds from the catalog to place them on a lot, they weren't showing up at all - I hope that makes sense?! Like, no object appeared from clicking on it in the catalog to moving my mouse onto the lot.
Anyway, I've done the 50/50 method with all of my CC and have narrowed it down to 599 package files that appear to be causing the conflict. Yes, I checked them individually one-by-one against the rest of my CC where the beds are working (yup, it's taken me literally months...!)

Now I've gotten to the point where I've isolated the 599 files that are individually causing what I can only assume to be a 'conflict' with the beds (I should also point out that sometimes the double bed worked but not the single so God knows why that was...). I'm just not sure what the next step is to try and fix them because I'm a total noob when it comes to using SimPE and checking GUIDs, OBJDs, TXMTs etc in HDCU+....

The 599 package files mainly came from my Mods folder but there are also Foods and Careers affecting the beds as well as the beloved Simple Laundry files. All the ACR Social files are causing the problem, the Simblender, loads of Lazy Duchess mods - it's so weird that all those packages are affecting literally two beds in my game, I've not noticed any other objects that are experiencing this problem.

I know it's super niche but does anyone know how best I can work out what's causing the conflict and so I can try to fix them? I really don't want to remove all 599 files from my game!

Not sure if it helps but I've attached a filelist of all 599 packages that are individually causing the bed-placement issue.

Thank you in advance!
Nat

Are you using Will's mod to remove the object limit? This is a known issue that when using it random maxis items will no longer be placeable.

Aside from ^ that, most of those items wouldn't cause conflicts on their own in that spesific way with an object, unless it's a mod that has a conflict with a spesific type of item (there are a few bed-spesific mods on your list, might want to check if those are compatible), or the item for some reason has a reused GUID from the object.

Have you run a GUID scan? If you run a GUID scan in SimPE, I think it runs it against all the game objects and other files in the install location, in addition to the Downloads folder. Might come up with something.

Most of the time when I've run into this spesific issue, it's been a GUID conflict where the objects are sharing one or more GUIDs. If they're sharing the main GUID, the CC object is usually the one that shows. If they only share the supporting GUIDs, both items might still show up, but one or both won't come out of the catalog or cause crashes/errors.

You'll want to check if you've also got some CEPextra files or price/catalog edits or similar you've put in the install location. Some could contain GUID coflicts (catalog or pricing edits in particular, these usually contain OBJDs which have GUIDs). CEPextras may or may not contain them, but it depends how they've been made (new object = new GUID, while edited object = other resources edited).

Also, which game version do you have? (just in case it's a conflict with an IKEA addon on top of the Legacy version or some such)

I am using Will's mod but had no idea that it could cause Maxis items to not be placeable thank you for letting me know! I'll try removing the TS2ObjectLimitFix mod and see what happens..!

**UPDATE** Turns out removing the mod makes my game crash regardless of which object I click on (Maxis or CC) so unfortunately not a viable option for me

Ooh thank you for the info - I'll try running HDCU+ and scan for duplicate GUIDs to see if anything comes up.
I'm running The Ultimate Collection
