Default Sim independence Day
We had election in our government last weekend. And I remembered how it looks in U.S. as they show it in movies. With those curtains and ribbons of nation colours (which are actually the same in our country). Me and my disabled parents are making election from home for many many many years akready. But I remember we went to the election post and how did it look back in a days in our country.

Today in international day of dreams holiday I'd like to share my dream about it. In sim realities of course.

Those could be a set of refunctioned objects based on those exist in the Sims already.

1 - the stand with brochures cloned from the journal kiosk in Hot Date
2 - the election box cloned from the counter and made transparent. We always had really huge boxes and always transparent as a symbol of our choise be visible to everyone. The reason however I was scolded one year in home for the wrong choise.
3 - the cash register made invisible or almost invisible to be placed on those counter . Maybe just an opening to the box. And spawning the person which will stay by the box and check bills for not spoiled.
4 - the place for election cloned from hotdate changing booth. Sims can go inside, make their vote and exit with bill being signed.
5 - many decorative objecys like ribbons , curtains and sandwich boards in national colours.

Some of refunction might have take there place. Maybe brochures couldalso be cloned from journals and make sims to learn their interests. Also action chain might be changed: sim buy a journal (brochure), go to the election (changing) booth, tnen exit and go to box (counter) with watching person (salesman) standing by. Sims goes out from the booth, go to person and makes their choise. Brochure will stay in inventory. And may also make sims learn some of interest. Maybe just another combination different from journals to make things look different.

This is kinda hard to make but by things I have learned about SimAntics and CODEX coding this looks quite real to me. I don't even start it and may won't have a chance. But I decided to share my thoughts my here in case some could feel caught by idea. And also to share my creativity level to you.

Thank you for your time and for read it.
Regards Vic

More of a bit of 2004 US product of its time, but Don Hopkins (who worked on TS1) made a voting machine during the 2004 election cycle! https://github.com/SimHacker/WillWr...ting-machine.md Lots of 2004 election jokes, though.

I'd be willing to bet the things you describe could be done, too, for a bit of a different flair/function than that older object, though... 🤔 (And perhaps less dated and/or more timeless, with less references to specific real-world stuff lol)

Well maybe could be fine. In real life we, me and my family, voted already using internet. Voting using home PC or smartphone connected to wi-fi specific router which adds self-interactions in one paticular room can be done in the Sims. It's even easier in coding using SimAntics. I just do like things can be done in booths. I like that it looks modest and old-fashioned.
