Hello everyone, I tried my best to google this problem and I've even searched reddit but I can't quite seem to find a solution. So, hopefully someone can help me here. I've had this issue for a good minute and I'm questioning if it's actually a feature, not a bug. I have several clothes hampers on a lot, and only one washing machine and one dryer. A sim will collect clothes on the floor, and from ONE hamper, walk to the rest of them and sort of skip over them? It's weird. I could've swore at one point I could get a sim to collect from all of the hampers but my memory could be wrong. I've tried playing without mods and it seems to still persist. though maybe I could be overlooking something. It's just so odd seeing a sim walk up to a hamper, pause and then walk away without collecting anything. Laundry takes FOREVER because of this and I think it's a little impractical to have more than one washing machine on a residential lot. Though I wonder if this is by design because throughout the years I've seen NO ONE mention this! (though I will admit there could be a chance I overlooked somewhere).

Unless you WANT to have your Sim actually go to each hamper, this mod lets you place a hamper next to the washer, and when Sims disgard clothes, automatically appear in the hamper. Then Sims only need to go to one hamper to do laundry.

Thanks, I'll try this out in the meantime. I guess we can have one communal hamper in the house next to the washing machine.

I am pretty sure that is how the laundry works by default. I could be remembering incorrectly as I have had Nona's hamper forever, love it.
