Recently I've been getting this error where everytime I go and highlight a phone in the game, it then freezes up, and later errors out with a "Too many iterations" error, I have no idea what is causing this to happen, as I tried to find which one of my custom content is causing this, to no avail (I also have a modified phone handset and grim reaper scythe thing that is buyable, but I can't delete them in the game, nor can I find the .package files in my Downloads folder). Also, if I do bypass the error, I only have a limited amount of options that I can use with the phone, such as calling services, or what have you. Does anyone know of a fix for this, or do I have to completely wipe out my Downloads folder and start fresh?

First of all, put the error in [spoiler] tags. Avoids all the scrolling.

Second, backup your game + Downloads folder. Testing for conflicts involve moving files in and out, which can cause issues with your current game. The backup can be replaced later, and all you need to do is to remove unwanted files, if you find any.

Third, you don't need to wipe out your Downloads folder, but what you can do is to look for any phone-related mods and objects, and test your game without those. If you notice any changes, it's possible you have to look closer at some of those mods/objects.

Also run the full Downloads folder (including any files you found above) through the HCDU, and the error log through the WCT tool:

(Not everything the HCDU reports is a true conflict, but it can help you with finding potential problem files, and also points out which files to test first when doing a 50/50 search, if it comes to that).

(It helps to have your CC sorted into categories. For instance, in this situation it's not likely to be CAS content, so if you can easily pull this out, you'd cut the testing time by a good portion, at least if the problem still persists when the lest likely CC isn't present. You probably will need to test mods and buy items, since the issue could be a mod conflict, a buggy phone object, or another conflicting object).
