Porting Sims 3 trait system to Sims 2
Hi, everyone! I am currently working on porting Sims 3 traits to Sims 2. I started this on a whim, just to see where it will lead me but I get pretty promising results now. I will admit that I use AI for it (max Claude subscription) and I do realize that a lot of people may have issues with that, but if you are willing to test alpha version in your game, just DM me and I will share it with you in a couple of weeks. Feel free to ask any questions.

Here's some early screenshots.

Is AI used to vibe code or just as QA, or something else? I am not accusing you of anything, but I have heard stories of people's computers having been compromised by AI vibe coding.

However, I think this is great and I wonder how it will work with other elements of the game.

Is this going to be compatible with the 3t2 traits mods already existing? I haven't used them, so I really have no idea how they work, but I was thinking of trying them out, so it would be good to know.

AI does the heavy lifting, also some simple tests. Then I test in game myself and work with Claude to solve the issues. I do not think computers can be compromised by AI itself unless a person gives AI a total control over their pc - I know some OpenAI models provide that option. I do not work with Claude in such way, it has strict boundaries, limited working environment and I constantly audit it. Also I work with AI every day as a software engineer and never had such problems - but after all it is a powerful tool and should be monitored all the time.

So far it looks really good, I ported Kleptomaniac trait fully and now sim has new interactions, appropriate moodlets etc. But I do need other people to test it too, coz I played Sims 3 a while ago, I am more of a Sims 2 fan :D

I do not believe it will be compatible, because they both make changes to sim's behavior. I would say that it will have more immersion as I plan to port all possible stuff from S3 traits into S2.

Thanks for replying, I had a feeling it wouldn't be compatible!
