Default Globalcatbin
Sometime back I posted on a different board how I lost all the Maxis clothes from the globalcatbin getting changed to a different one. Something I downloaded ( I don't know what), probably from thesims.com site, changed the Globalcatbin that is in my game. Other people have come up with this problem, too, but I don't know how to get the right one back into my game. Well, I had decided to live without the original clothes that Maxis had put in and have downloaded a lot of new customized clothing into my game. I discovered a little while ago I also don't have the facial features that are in the "Make a Family". I can't change noses, chins, mouths, etc. I guess I will have to try to get the Globalcatbin back to being the right one in the game. I'm so tired of my Sims all looking alike. It's gotten so bad with a lot of them you can't tell which Sim it is without checking the name. Especially a lot of the teens look alike. Anyone know how I can straighten out this mess? Or could I use Bodyshop to make new Sims for the game?

The only thing I can think of is to back up game and reinstall. This is not anything I like to suggest, but if you are missing game files it is the only one I can think of to fix the problem. I am not positive, but I would think bodyshop would use the same files. You could however try. Good luck!

Have you tried copying and pasting the globalcatbin from the game disk back into your game? I had problems with icons and thumbnails, and when I copied the affected package file from the disk into the game, it regenerated what was missing. Ought to do the same with globalcatbin.

This is true Nickieboy2004 , I did look to see if I could find it on the disc, but did not locate it. This doesn't mean it isn't there, just I didn't see it. If this can be done, would be great. We all hate reinstalling.

Also to add, sometimes I can't find things that are in plain sight.
