Not even Alpha status...

Without knowing that Jase has announced to no longer support his excellent "InTeenimater", I implemented Teen Wooho, Teen-Adult relations and Teen pregnancy in my module. After collecting all resources, I went back to fixing the second aspiration problem with FT (which finally was fixed by the unofficial patch). Now the new attraction system works. Sims who don't have a high attraction to each other cannot MakeOut, cannot Woohoo, cannot fall in love. Happily I noted: "Part SRM (Sims Relation Manager) up and running!"

Then came the teen pregnancy. Gosh! Enabling all functions and modifying the age checks were no task, but as soon as my test teen girl entered the phase "Showing half" (which means: belly gets visible), she dropped to the floor and floated half in the floor, half on the floor. That left me with two options: a) imitate "InTeenimaters" look and try to create a teen belly mesh, or b) somehow bypass that problem.

I decided for the bypass, to not initiate hatemails and flames about "stealing code from others". I set up the teen pregnancy using the original resources, but whenever a check on the pregnancy status and the anim overlay was made, I bypassed that and implemented my own check routines. This is also running now, and I happily noted today: "Part TAM (Teen-Adult-Manager) is up and running!"

Which leaves me with part 3: the actual catastrophes, accidents, sudden deaths etc. But after weeks of neglecting my social life, I will pull back from my mod for a few days now.

It is finally done!

After four months full of working on CtfG's mods, they are finally updated and re-worked, bug-fixed and ready for any new EP that may come. Even with good eyes, I understand many of CtfG's bugs: The font in SimPE sometimes invites to make errors ("hmm... is this a B or an 8?")

Anyway. Hopefully all bugs are fixed, and now I can start with a project I dreamed of since the base game came out. Some players like to install hacks that make certain things easier to achieve, but in return they also make the game (in my eyes) boring. What about a mod that makes everything more difficult?

Right now, I am working on the logical layout. I intend to create one "Main" module that controls the basic behaviour, supported by additional modules for each EP. The only problem is: The main module must base on FreeTime, due to all the major changes that were introduced with this EP. Well, we will see.

If you chance to read this, let me know what you think about a mod that makes the sims' daly life more dangerous, more difficult, more challenging. Let me know what you think about fatal accidents on the way to work or to school. What you think about a FAMILY sim who reacts first with desire on a ROMANTIC sim and then with loathing because of repulsive chemistry. Drop ideas and suggestions here, if you like.
