Ever go through your downloads folder and forget why you even downloaded some of the random things you have in there?
I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this problem.
I mean, I sort my downloads. I've got the downloads folder split into parts by function, the furniture subfoldered into rooms, the clothes subfoldered into male and female and then by age, and I even have a place for any mods or hacks I have.
But it still gets so cluttered and messy! So here's what I'm gonna do.
I've created a separate folder on my desktop and made the appropriate subfolders necessary to sort my things. I transfered what I recognized from all of my subfolders in the downloads folder, and the stuff i don't recognize is going to be deleted when I uninstall all of my Sims 2 games. Then, I'm going to reinstall them all, toss in my new, nicely organized downloads folder and go with it.
This isn't the first time I've done this. Sometimes things just get so out of hand in my neighborhoods, what with families and this Sim is cheating on this Sim and having an affair with this one as well (I play with a lot of Family and Romance Sims

) so it's easier just to start over. But this IS the first time I've attempted this with so many downloads. Ay caramba. I'm just going to redownload all of my faves, and if I get duplicates, just override them. That way, I'll know I have the stuff I really like.
So I won't be making any houses for a while. I'm happy with the 8 I have posted (and my 2000+ downloads - thanks guys! :lovestruc ) and I'll get to a few more, maybe, before I leave.
PS: I'll be working at Cedar Point for the summer, and while I will have access to the internet, I won't be taking my computer, so I won't be able to build anything
So that's it! Hooray for my first journal entry!
