I don't think many real life mayors have those powers.

Yeah, I agree with the other ideas, but mayoral powers would be more likely to be getting extra money from bribes or a bills discount due to writing off all their expenses. XD

Why would the mayor become a High Priest/ Witch Doctor? We just replaced our 92 year old mayor... he had a hard enough time controlling his bladder. And the new mayor has a full-time day job. i don't get the connection.

I really like the idea of giving Sims special abilities once they’ve reached the top of their careers—it makes the achievement feel more meaningful. I mean, if a Sim becomes Captain Hero or Mayor, it’s not that far-fetched to imagine them having some extraordinary influence, right? Though for weather control and alien stuff, maybe a top-level scientist or even a celebrity weatherman would be a fun twist. Either way, it’s great to see people thinking outside the usual narrow boxes.

I really like this, it gives the feeling of ACTIVE job career (similar to 3). I just want to add this idea - from level 5 and up sims could have kind of FAME/VIP/CELEBRITY system no matter what job they have. Other sims (townies and playable) couod react, recognize... sims who (playable) are at level 5 or higher in their careers and treat them as vip/celebrities. Maybe something like TS1 Superstar or TS3 Showtime/Late Night... or kind of mix of both.

I rhink it is since AL there is something like reputation. Haw nothing to do with the career, but it might help to achieve this.

But it would be cool to have a plug-in mod that DOES affect job career and give sims certain perks or something.

Well, at the top of the Law Enforcement career a pixel can literally fly to work.

I'd call that a superpower.

Very few careers have FAME/VIP/CELEBRITY systems... who's the country's greatest custodial engineer? Who's the top medical biller? Who's the top pharmaceutical producer? Dr Oz is probably one of the more famous doctors... along with Dr Phil and Dr. Jill. But are they the tops in their careers? by no means. Often times, these famous "top-of-the-career" people are nowhere near the top of their career. They are celebrities, who made a name for themselves in the entertainment industry by presenting a career in a fashionably marketable way. Level 5 is the half-way point. If everybody halfway decent at their job was suddenly famous, then fame would be meaningless, because everybody would know everybody.

To each his own, and you can have (or want) whatever you feel like having (or wanting) in your game. That's clearly not for me to determine. But frankly, in my opinion, it would seriously unbalance the game and make what's already a pretty easy game even easier. I'd be a HARD PASS on most of these things. There's a logical progression up the law enforcement career, to eventually (even if somewhat ridiculously) becoming a superhero. But superheros can usually fly, so it makes sense. Mayors summoning meteor showers and UFOs..? the most famous mayoral position in the world probably is Mayor of NYC and he's having enough trouble controlling crime, never mind alien invasions. haha

Reputation does give you certain perks like discounts or job benefits. https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/Reputation

I used to love building cities and then making disasters like a monster. One thing I wish I could have seen more of was trains crashing. I think in the original SimCity, I've seen a train crash disaster only once.

I'd like a Foster a child mod .. I know I can do it manually, but I'd much prefer it done automatically.
- instead of the sim callin to adopt, the social worker calls the sim askin if they'd like to foster a child .. if the sims answers yes they're asked what age, but it can ONLY be of a sim that is already created - townie or one that'd been taken from the parents by a social worker
- the foster parent then gets paid a stipend somethin along the lines of Monique's child support mod
- the foster child retains their family ties and their memories when they move in with their foster parent
- lastly, upon the 4th day of foster a message pops up with a roll of the die of
a) child is bein returned to their parent and the social works comes and takes the kid
b) option of adoption is given (and all previous memories remain intact)

As I said, I know I can do this manually .. as I have done it .. just be nice to have it as a mod and automated

Is that how foster care works? Social workers cold-calling to see if anybody would like a kid and a wad of cash? Maybe i should stop sending all those unrecognized calls to voicemail. I could have an army of child laborers, -AND- I get a stipend for each one of them?! "Sure!! I'll take 3! Are they afraid of heights? ...huh? oh, no reason... uhh, asking for a friend."
