Default CC Symbol On Base Game Clothing/Makeup
Hi Sims 2 community! I looked on the forum to see if anyone else had posted about this but couldn't find anything, so here I am - just a quick question. I was recently having some gaming issues that seemed related to having windows 10. Long story short (with help from TheJessaChannel) I fixed the crashing issue by double checking if my 4GB patch was working properly (which it was not.) But ever since I fixed the issue, when I to to create a sim or change their hair/makeup/clothing, certain base game clothing and makeup has the custom content symbol on it which it did not before. So far it doesn't seem to be impacting my game, mostly curious if there is a known reason why this happened. I'm still pretty new to the technical side of sims 2. I really appreciate this community! Thanks so much in advance.

I've notice that as well since I reinstalled on a new computer, not sure why. If it's bothering you you could always try using this.

It's likely some items didn't show before, or were placed differently, or anything like that.

If you're not sure whether downloads are causing it, (Backup your game first!!!), try moving out your downloads and see if the icons disappear/go back to normal. If they do, it's something in your Downloads folder that's causing the issue. It's possible you'll have to do a 50/50 search to find the items.

If you have a CC symbol on basegame items, you most likely have default replacements of them that aren't properly placed (some items go in the install location so they won't have the custom star or the trash bin available - make sure you read about items when downloading!)

Trying to delete such items ingame or in Bodyshop can cause issues with the install files. As long as you don't try to delete them, it shouldn't cause any issues (hopefully they just have the custom star, and don't have the trash bin enabled). If you want to remove the items, do so from the Downloads folder.
