The real reason I use it a lot in my builds is that it only costs §25, which is §400 cheaper than the cheapest Maxis shower I know of (the University communal shower). Our Veronaville is not a rich neighbourhood, and at Jones & Moltke, we often find ourselves working with tight budgets -- much tighter than the ones in this contest. (Last night we built a house for two Sims with a budget of §15K -- they got Numenor's shower!) I say only "somewhat" naughty, because they get Fun points for doing something that almost all boys do, and quite a few girls do it too. I think it's mild, bur I'm sure it would not be acceptable in an MTS upload. Of course I could substitute a Maxis shower, but that would significantly increase the price.

The University communal shower isn't that expensive. You don't have a budget limit for uploading. XD

I hope that people do upload with their CC. You won't get the same effect with no CC.

It can't be easy managing a major local construction company when you're still a teenage schoolboy. Clearly I'm not the only one who found this contest a bit exhausting.

He just realised that in the first photo you posted of him he had an enormous zit on his chin!

Of course you don't have to worry about the budget when uploading, @AndrewGloria, and you can make as many changes as you want to!

I got this one for participating in the Monopoly contest. I'm pretty sure you'd get it too. I reckon that the people for whom this is their first contest should get it now.

I think all my contest entries were quite CC-light. I don't use a lot of Build/Buy CC. My Downloads folder is full of clothes, hair, accessories and mods. My Sims spend hundreds of Simoleons buying clothes containing hardly any fabric. (I think I'll get that new cheaper clothes mod -- my Sims spend far more on their clothes than I spend on mine.)

I'll check how much CC there is in my contest builds. If there isn't much, I might try uploading one to the queue and see what happens. I still don't expect many people will want to download my last-place builds.

It's the result of him burning the candle at both ends interviewing clients for this contest. One of the few advantages I get from being old is that I don't get zits like that any more!

I was a contestant in the strangetown trading places contest a few years ago and had to drop out for the final round. I never got the participation badge for that, so maybe now that I've managed to finish one I will?

@HugeLunatic Could you please check out @AndrewGloria 's post above? I think participants should get a sticker too, perhaps? Thank you!

I agree everyone should get a sticker. Well, except me. No need to give me the 'judged a contest' achievement badge, don't really deserve it.

I do, indeed, have that sticker.

And believe you get one then once you have completed the contest (for judging too), which means, @Modder should get one this time.
Of course, time zones, I have been asleep

Yes indeed! I forgot about participants. xD Think I got all those stickers handed out now (based on those who finished the contest). Please do let me know if I missed someone!

The truth is that stickers produce endorphins xD I don't have many, but knowing that I have them comforts me. xDD

I hope all of you enjoy your stickers! Remember, hosting a contest gets one too (Wink, wink)

Hi. I know, it's been a while. I'm doing better now. My mother's health scare passed and she's fine now. The brain-scan showed she has a build up of white matter so it might just be her age coupled with stress. It's scary and we do keep an eye on her if she takes a turn. But hopefully it's not something serious.
Someone tagged me in this thread and yeah, I kinda dropped out because I figured that if I missed one round there was no point in doing the next one.
I didn't get a sticker... but I suppose that I didn't really finish the competition, so I probably don't deserve one.

@Craft90 I'm glad you are back and that your mother is doing better! I enjoyed seeing your builds, I hope we can have another contest soon and that you will enter!

Glad to hear that, @Craft90! I hope your mom will be fine for a very long time

It has not actually occurred to me that anyone would want to take part in a round after dropping out, to be honest - there is, as far as I know, not any rule against it.

Stickers are awarded to those who complete a contest (once only) - perhaps the next one?

Question is who is going to host it? Perhaps we should consider the winner here

I have a busy summer ahead, lots of garden work and looking after various people's houses/ gardens/ cats whilst they are on holiday! But later on in the year for sure, I'd love to have a crack at organising something, perhaps someone could start a thread to discuss it somewhere (I think you put yours in Sims 2 discussion Petro??). We would need to decide- what kind of contest (making sims, building, or both?? Or making neighbourhoods? That would be a cool one!). And do people want to allow custom contest, photoediting etc? I quite like the idea of a contest where you make a sim, then make a house for them, then make a community lot they'd enjoy perhaps. Does anyone have any ideas or opinions?

Sounds cool, @simsample!

I think we kind of talked all over the place about mine for some time, so starting a specific thread for it could be worth it.

Perhaps make a family and build a house in 3 rounds, then a community lot for them all to use in the last round (like Jo did in the Community Spirit contest in the last round there)? That can give one the opportunity to build 3 houses for different families of different sizes and budgets, but will still be fairly straightforward in the end, because even a player with just the base game can take part in that.

Making a hood (for a contest, at least, sounds like too much work, not sure many will go for that) - one could of course take all the entries and make a hood with them in the end?
