Default What's your favorite Simlish sentence in TS2?
So what's yall guys favorite SimLish sentence in TS2?
If possible, you can put when said sentence occurs (eg: ""Grofala, Bidou!!" When a teen/YA female waves because her aspiration meter or one of her needs is low")

I was going to say the Sims 1 swear but if it has to be sims 2, I don't know. This old video is pretty funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTvjFcRRvn0

I may be the only person here who still does this, but I still start up The Sims 2 the traditional way with the Maxis launcher. Moreover I nearly always let the video play right through. It lasts less than a minute, and it gets me in the mood to play The Sims. At the very beginn9ng of the video a female voice says something that sounds like "So sorry!" However my niece tells me that it's actually Simlish for "Hello!" I guess it's my favourite Simlish sentence.

Gloria (Andrew's mum) does that all the time when she's in a good mood. I must pay attention and see if she says, "Balinka!"

I think it's 'Sul Sul!' which has been widely used by the Sims 4 marketing team as a greeting.

That's from one of the performance songs in Sims 1!

Yes, I think males and females do it, most often in my game I see Sim Sample say it whenever he sees a sim he's attracted to. Which is a lot.

Other sentences I remembered are the lyrics to Glabe Glarn- another song from Sims 1, which you can hear in Sims 2 on the karaoke machine.

Glabe Vada skijay
Glabe zan Vada skijay Glarn

Vodiat bonda glarn
Volly andot'n zon-du-harn
Volly andot bulyadan dot
Zeel dau vaba du whoa

Another that sticks in my mind is the simlish chorus for Kajagoogoo's Too Shy (from around 1:11 onwards):
https://youtu.be/eZSGbAFNVwU?t=71
ooh neeb neeb, wush wush eebla jeeb

And the same phrase reused in this song from Sims 3, in a Kid's radio channel song (from around 0:40 on):
https://youtu.be/Ra1GFTNcTO8?t=49
ooh ooh! neeb neeb! wush wush! eebla jeeb!

"Hahaha, Vista!" Idk, but it's a girl possibly voiced by Zoe Galvez when she's playing on a swing. Only heard this when i played with only M&G stuff
"Shibababalaba, shabadibadabado" One of the commercials of a red haired girl going to shower, then the background turns into a forest
"Lalo, lalo! Lalo-lalo!" Toddler asking a teen/older

Once, in my early game, when Gloria was still doing her time in the army, she (and I) forgot that she had to work on Saturday mornings. The result was that she had to get up and go to work in the humvee only twenty minutes after she had had woohoo with Garry (who was visiting) and had fallen asleep. I don't think she arrived for duty in the best of moods that morning! This left Garry alone in her bed. Some time later, after it was daylight, Garry got up and came into Andrew's room, where Andrew was still trying to sleep. Garry said something that sounded like "Munchies". Andrew and I took that to mean, "Get up and make me some breakfast!"

Andrew did what he was asked (because he's that sort of boy). As they chatted over the meal, they both began to realise that they had more in common than just having the same hairstyle. (I suppose they also, in their own ways, both love Gloria.) Soon man and boy became firm friends, which they have remained ever since. But I always remember how their friendship started with that one word from Garry.

Also found "Sperk" very amusing whilst trying to train my sims' 'lower intelligence' cat.

"Mumba. Astitiki"

I've no idea what it means, but it's what Gloria said to Jack Gill as she played chess with him at 3:30 in the morning. They were the first words of Simlish I'd heard after a week without my computer. Her speech bubble showed the sun shining.

The whole situation has an air of surrealism about it. Having been sleeping, Gloria is topless, almost naked. Jack, who has come to visit Andrew and Julian, is (by his standards) fully dressed. The chess table is in Andrew and Julian's bedroom, but they are sleeping peacefully through it all. Meanwhile, in a similar state of near nudity, Garry (Gloria's husband) has fallen asleep on the leather sofa downstairs.

I love the way my Sims choose to live!

I don't know that I have a favorite Simlish phrase, but one thing I do always find a little interesting (on the rare occasions I don't have the game completely muted so I can listen to music while I build something!) is that while Simlish is obviously a nonsensical gibberish language, it's still clearly Western European gibberish. The vowel and consonant patterns and sounds and even the sentence structure are way more Latin or Germanic sounding than even Slavic, let alone anything from outside Europe! I'm sure they thought it wasn't worthwhile and it probably wouldn't be for many people lol, but I still kinda wish there was an option for different regional "languages" so you could make various locations sound like they actually were from a different part of the world...
