I was a little disappointed with the skinny, smooth-coated Shibas that Maxis created for the game, so I messed around with the body, face, and fur until I had created a more realistic "poofy" Shiba for my Sims. Though Shibas do have straight hair, the smooth coat texture made the coats look too flat, so I changed it to furry and added some fur accessories. After all of the changes, the smooth coat option didn't look as bad, but I left it as furry anyway -- you can change it to suit your tastes.
