Borlak Lobe (Alien ?)

The Lobe come from the planet Borlak. It is uncertain if they are an animal or a sentient race of quadrupeds. Some believe the Lobe are telepathic in nature, as they have a large cranium and seem to lay around and observe thier suroundings. Are the Borlak a product of a failed Polly Tech expiriment to breed new species, or are they a natural organism? We may never know for sure.
