Most college campuses today feature a Gay Studies curriculum, so I thought this option should be made available to your University campuses, as well. The course descriptions are not humorous, nor is there any references to sexual acts or content of prurient interest -- just serious scholarship regarding the contributions of this minority to the history of human civilization.
Estimates of the prevalence of Sim homosexuality vary considerably, and are complicated by differing or even ambiguous definitions of homosexuality. The most common estimates range from 2% to 10% of Maxis-created Sims. In addition, Sims who are in general heterosexual may have mild or occasional interest in members of their own sex. They are often referred to as "bi-woohual".

Gay History Major
Semester 1 - Homosexual Eros in Ancient Greece
From Socrates and Plato to Anacreon, Ibycus, Solon and Theognis, what distinguishes homosexual eros in Greece was the value of its cultural expression in poetry, pottery and philosophy.
Semester 2 - Islam's Love-Hate Relationship with Homosexuality
The difference between acceptable dominant homosexual activity versus unacceptable mutual or affectionate activity in Muslim countries is explored. Course examines references to homosexuality in the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as an exploration of gay Islamic folktales and the writings of Islamic poet Abu Nuwas.
Semester 3 - Homosexuality in Ancient China and Japan
In ancient China, various poetic terms were used to describe homosexual behaviors, such as "sharing a peach" and "masculine-dragon preference". The Japanese "nanshoku" tradition drew heavily on that of China, and Buddhist monastic homosexuality influenced both the samurai and shogunate in the practice of sex with "tigo" as a privilege of class.
Semester 4 - Homosexuality as Part of Pre-Colonial Africa
Homoerotic traditions in Africa have taken many forms, most of which have been either eradicated or are under siege from European mass culture or missionary work. Course explores African adolescent pairings as a rite of passage and presents a rich picture of the wide variety of same sex practices and relations, both historical and in present times among native tribesmen in Africa.
Semester 5 - Historical Precedents of Same-Sex Marriage
Evidence of same-sex marriage among the Gauls, the Spartans, and legally binding conjugal contracts between 2nd-century Roman men are examined. Male "molly marriages" in 18th and 19th-century England were occuring at the same time when gay marriages among the American Indians, particularly the Cheyenne and the Sioux, were the first U.S. same-sex marriages!
Semester 6 - A History of Homophobia
This course examines the historical roots of homophobia from Ancient Israel to the end of the Middle Ages, exposing the attitudes which led to the burning of homosexuals as "witches" during the Inquisition, and the Nazi persecution of homosexuals up to and including the Gay Holocaust during WWII. An overview of gay activism includes the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion, the AIDS Memorial Quilt, and groups as diverse as Log Cabin Republicans and ACT UP.
Semester 7 - Critical Censorship of Gay Literature
Homosexual literature has almost always been the single literary tradition to suffer at the hands of religious or government censors, and the no less repressive hands of scholars, critics, editors of so-called "definitive anthologies" and biographers. Course examines the censorship of gay poetry and literature including the Index Librorum Prohibitorum and English and American anti-smut laws.
Semester 8 - A Critique of Social Constructionism and Postmodern Queer Theory
Queer Theory proposes that one's sexual identity and one's gender identity are partly or wholly socially constructed, and therefore individuals cannot really be described using broad terms like "homosexual" or even "male". Critics of queer theory hold that a vast and growing body of physiological, genetic and sociological evidence shows otherwise, such as medical research which proves that there are physiological differences between brains of gay and straight men.
